Setting Up your Blogger

Now that you had made your first post or if you have not experience it yet or  you had doubts if you had set your blog correctly the first time. Here are some simple step, I hope that this will help you getting started.

1.  Log in to your blogger dashboard. If you forget your password  you can still ask blogger to send it to your gmail account.

• After you had log in to your blogger dashboard click on settings you will see the settings tab in your screen and they are :

1. Basic
2. Publishing
3. Formatting
4. Comments
5. Archiving
6. Site Feed
7. Email and Mobile
8. Open ID
9. Permission

Basic Settings

• Blog tools - import blog, export blog or delete blog
• Title - topic or subject of the blog ex. Home Cafe Internick Cafe
• Description - example : how to make your computer makey money for you
• Add your blog to our listing : yes of course.
• Let search engine find your blog : I'm sure - YES-
• Show quick editing on your blog : Yes
• Show Email Post Link : Yes but its O.k if no.
• Adult Content : No if for general visitors if yes visitors will be asked if they want to proceed
• Show compose mode for all your blog : Yes
• Show transliteration button for your post : yes if you want translation, no if you retain the use English
• Don't forget to save settings

Formatting Settings

• Show - set the number of post that will be displayed in your page
• Date Header format
• Time stamp format
• Time Zone
• Language
• Convert line breaks : Yes but still O.k if no.
• Show title fields : Yes
• Show link field : No but you can opt for yes and its alright
• Enable Float Alignment : I chose YES, No is also alright
• Don't forget to Click on Save Settings
• Finish

Comment Settings

• Comments : choose show
• Who Comment : chose anyone, it means everybody is welcome
• Comments Default for Post : New Post Have comments
• Back links : Show
• Back links default for Posts : New Post Have Back links
• Show Comments in Pop up window?-  Yes so that when comment is clicked your will still stay in your blog.
• Show word verification for comment : better if YES
• Enable comment moderation : i chooses no but if you prefer Yes its alright.
• Show profile images on comments - if yes the photo of commenter will be displayed
• Comment Notification address : your e mail address
• Save settings and finish

Site Feed

• Publish Site Feed : Yes
• Description : i chose full
• Save setting
• Finish
